We were supposed to go to brunch at the Bongo Room on my birthday.  But in the 10 minute car ride, my little one fell asleep. But there was a plan B...where I thoroughly enjoyed my alone time with a mani/pedi while Mia napped in the car with Doug.  When she woke up, she was eager to climb in the chair next to mommy and pretend...

Just Like Mommy - Go Illinois!

I haven't done one of these Just Like Mommy or Daddy posts in awhile...

A few months ago when Mia put on her Illinois shirt, she said, "But I don't have Illinois pants like Mommy." So, for Christmas our little chief got her very own University of Illinois sweatpants, just like mommy! She loves being my twin!

I’m impressed with how she holds her writing utensils considering no one taught her that. That’s just how she naturally picks them up! It makes my heart hurt to see certain traits that are just like Mommy or just like Daddy and she's only 16 months old. I actually see more of Great Grandma in this picture though. I probably get all my creative genes from her and her wide variety of skills. Thanks Great Grandma…kisses!
